Movement | Ease | Balance
Equine bodywork focuses on the muscular and skeletal systems and aims to improve flexibility, performance and overall health and wellbeing of the horse. It also promotes healing by increasing circulation and releasing muscle tension.
Bodywork aims to promote movement, ease and balance throughout the horse's entire body.
The goal of Monaco Equine Bodywork has always been to provide the highest quality services in order to achieve the best possible result for every animal.
Welcome to Monaco Equine Bodywork! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Sam and I've been an equine bodyworker for 4 years.
I always knew I would make a career out of horses. The “how” changed multiple times throughout my life; mostly I jumped between Olympic eventer and veterinarian. Prior to starting my bodywork journey, I had my heart set on becoming a trainer.
My first proper experience of equine bodywork was holding a horse while my future mentor worked on him. I had one arm in a sling having just busted my collarbone coming off one of my then-boss’s client horses. It dawned on me that maybe training wasn’t for me and that there was another way I could work with horses that I’d never considered before.
I began my business in March 2020 and have never looked back.
As a rider my first love is eventing, but I have dabbled in a range of other sports and so understand what pressures are on a horse in each different discipline. As a practitioner of equine bodywork, my patients have so far included everything from eventers to campdrafters to racehorses. I even work on dogs!
Looking after a horse's muscular and skeletal systems is best used as a regular maintenance. Prevention is always better than cure!
